Wishfox aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, so anyone can build a wishlist and pick a gift with whatever device or assistive tool they use. The site is partially conformant. Public pages are in good shape, signed-in screens are not audited yet. If something blocks you, write to us.
Conformance status
Wishfox is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Most of the content meets the standard, some parts do not yet. The sections below say which. This statement covers the web app at wishfox.app.
What works well
- A skip-to-content link at the top of every page.
- Keyboard focus is visible, and we found no keyboard traps.
- Every page has one main heading, and headings follow in order.
- Icon-only buttons have a text label for screen readers.
- The page language is set, so screen readers pick the right voice.
- Light and dark mode, both built for contrast.
- If your system asks for reduced motion, animations are turned off.
- The site is designed to work on small screens and with browser zoom.
- Items and lists can be reordered with buttons, not only by dragging.
This release (4 October 2026) also fixed four things we found:
- The show/hide password button had no accessible name.
- Some secondary text had too little contrast, mostly in dark mode.
- On small screens, the comparison table could not be scrolled with a keyboard.
- Heading order on the About page.
Known limitations
- Signed-in screens (list editing, groups, the Secret Santa draw, account settings) and public wishlist pages have not been audited yet.
- Images and descriptions on wishlists come from users and shops, so some have no alt text.
- The bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) and sign-in with Apple or Facebook are third-party services. We cannot change how they work.
- We have not tested with a screen reader yet.
If any of this stops you, write to us and we will do the step for you. For example, we can reserve an item on a list for you by email, or reorder a list the way you want it.
How we tested
Self-assessment on 4 October 2026. We ran automated axe-core checks (WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules) on the main public pages: home, about, help, contact, privacy, login, register, Secret Santa and the comparison pages. Each page was checked in light and dark mode, at mobile and desktop widths. We also went through the pages by keyboard. No screen-reader testing and no external audit yet.
Feedback and contact
Found a barrier, or is something in this statement wrong? Write to info@wishfox.app or use the contact form at /de/kontakt. Wishfox is run by one person, Ondřej Kandera, and he reads every message himself. You will get a reply within 14 days. Tell us which page, which device and what went wrong, and we can fix it faster.
Enforcement and legal basis
Wishfox is a microenterprise. The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the Czech Act No. 424/2023 Sb. do not apply to microenterprises providing services, so this statement is voluntary. We publish it because we want the site to work for everyone, not because a law makes us. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, www.coi.cz).
