- What should we put on a baby registry?
Start with what you'll need in the first weeks: a car seat, a cot or Moses basket with a firm, flat mattress, nappies, and clothes in a few sizes. The NHS advises that a baby sleeps in their own cot or Moses basket in your room for at least the first 6 months. Then add bigger items like a pram, plus small things so everyone can join in. Set a priority on the must-haves.
